 Materuni waterfall

Materuni waterfall is one of the beautiful waterfalls in Kilimanjaro,  also known as Nambe waterfalls locally, which means firstborn. It has this name as it's the first waterfalls that come from the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. However, for location purposes, this waterfall is known as Materuni waterfall, which is the name of the village, It is 15 km from Moshi town. On the way to materuni, I pass the beautiful villages that I always heard about when I was young because I grow up in Moshi as well.



FROM THE MAIN OFFICE TO THE WATERFALL 

After I arrived at the office I had to pay an entrance fee, it’s just a small contribution which helps the village. From the office to the waterfall I walk (hiking) for 40 minutes it was really beautiful and a little bit of exercise after two weeks of not working out hahaha I enjoy it.


MY EXPERIENCE 

This place amazed with materuni waterfall, on the way, there was beautiful trees, birds sounds, nice weather and an incredible view of Moshi town. I met a lady who sells sweet bananas (ndizi kisukari), she was so friendly, kind and charming so I bought a few bananas they were sweet. Materuni waterfall catches my eyes and my feelings, it is so cool, beautiful rock and cold water. It was easier to hike there because of its beautiful nature. 



CONTENT 

I dreamt about this content for so long and I was so excited to do it but the funny thing was it started to rain after I arrived OMG I was heartbreaking but I didn’t give up I had to wait for the rain to pass and I started to change and take some interesting content. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CWsdDH5F3Xi/?utm_medium=copy_link


Being a content creator made me think out of the box, before traveling to a certain place I do research first and create imaginary content before getting there. RECOMMENDATION 

A materuni waterfall is a place you should visit when you go to Moshi. You can do 3-5 hours and create a nice memory you will never forget about. 


Traveling is a therapy
